Troubleshooting

Common issues and how to resolve them.

Cannot sign in with Google

  • Clear browser cookies and cache, then try again.
  • Try an incognito / private window to rule out extension conflicts.
  • Ensure third-party cookies are not blocked in your browser settings.
  • Disable browser extensions (especially ad blockers) that may interfere with OAuth.

Passphrase not working

  • Check that Caps Lock is off — passphrases are case-sensitive.
  • If you stored it elsewhere, copy-paste it to avoid typing errors.
  • Spaces and punctuation are significant — make sure nothing was trimmed.
If you have genuinely forgotten your passphrase, there is no recovery option. Access to your secrets is permanently lost.

App not loading after login

  • Check your internet connection — the app needs to fetch your encrypted data from the server.
  • Hard refresh the page (Cmd+Shift+R on macOS, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows/Linux).
  • Sign out and back in again to refresh your session tokens.

A shared secret is not visible

  • Confirm the share was sent to the correct email address.
  • Reload the page — newly shared items may require a refresh to appear.
  • The owner can check the Shares panel to verify the share is still active and has not been revoked.

Export not working

  • Make sure you are signed in and your session is unlocked before attempting to export.
  • Check that the Group you are exporting actually contains secrets.
  • If the download does not start, check your browser's popup and download settings.
